If you are without a Primary Care Physician or Nurse Practitioner and are a resident of Prince Edward County, you are able to book an appointment with our Community Clinic to screen for Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer and Colorectal Cancer.

Breast Screening
Am I High Risk?
✅ Do you have a personal or family history of breast cancer or known genetic changes?
✅ Are you between 30 and 69 years of age?
Contact your Primary Care Provider about high-risk screening.
They will recommend an MRI and an ultrasound and ask you to repeat them annually.

Am I Average Risk?
✅ No family history of breast cancer or known genetic changes?
✅ Are you between 40 and 74 years of age?
Contact your Primary Care Provider about breast cancer screening.
They will recommend a Mammogram and ask you to repeat every two years.

Cervical Screening
Am I Average Risk?
✅ Are you between 25 and 70 years of age?
✅ Are a woman, trans or non-binary person with a cervix
✅ Have ever been sexually active
Contact your Primary Care Provider about having a PAP test.
They will recommend repeating this test every three years.

Colorectal Screening
Am I at an Increased Risk?
✅ Immediate family member (parent, sibling, or child) with a history of colorectal cancer
Contact your Primary Care Provider about arranging for a colonoscopy.
They will recommend repeating this test every five to ten years, depending on your family history and the results of your previous colonoscopies.

✅ No family history of colorectal cancer
✅ If you are between the age of 50 -74 years
Contact your Primary Care Provider about getting a FIT (fecal immunochemical test) kit.
They will recommend to repeat this test every two years.
